Super Mario Flash is literally the title. |
This game is maybe one of the most difficult Mario Fan games I have ever played in my life. It starts with level three, where you hop from floating side-to-side platform to floating side-to-side platform in a sky level. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. The physics in this game are very, very sensitive. You have to be VERY precise with your button taps, and one wrong move can end your life quickly. I've only been to the 6th level of the game, and it gets very difficult the further you go, at a very steep difficulty curve. The boss fight is surprisingly easy, however, and it barely feels like you accomplished anything.
However, that doesn't mean it isn't fun. All the power-ups from the original Super Mario Bros. are here in their full glory. It seems to be based off of the Super Mario Bros. remake included in Super Mario All Stars for the SNES, but the 5th level steals some assets from Super Mario World (also on the SNES). Some of the levels are manageably difficult, and not just button issues. The game itself, as a whole, is pretty fun.
Overall, Super Mario Flash is a fun distraction that should please fans of the platforming genre. If you have the patience, platforming skill, and self control to not destroy your computer, you should definitely play Super Mario Flash.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to stop some Koopas.
